Great for an evening double cleansing

I use this in the evening to remove my sunscreen/makeup before I use the Cleansing Cream. It is very gentle, has no fragrance, and I also wet a cotton round and apply it to my eyes to cleanse that area too. I steam my face first with a warm wet washcloth soaked in Lavender Bath Essence.

Only thing that helps rosacea

This cleansing milk has grown so expensive, so I occasionally try something else that appears promising. But I always come back to this perfect cleanser. Gentle and effective

I recently changed my skin care regimen to Dr. Hauschka products 6 months ago due to middle age acne, dry patches and rosacea flare ups. Though I remove eye makeup with DH makeup remover I find this cleansing cream effectively washes off the rest. My skin feels fresh, supple and glows with no drying out. I use 2-3 pumps depending on whether I wore makeup that day.My skin took few months to adjust, I will say that my skin has looked the best it has in years. I find that i go more days without makeup than I ever have because of this

i love this cleanser. it feels moisturizing while it gently cleans which is hard to find in a product. i won't use anything else! i must add, i don't wear any makeup except for mascara every once in a while, and this cleanser isn't the best makeup remover by itself. an oil-based make-up remover is necessary to take off my mascara before cleansing with the milk to wash away dirt and the day.i just got the toner and night serum and am excited to see how all 3 work together!

The Best Cleanser

I was introduced to Dr. Hauschka in 1993 when I ran out of facial cleanser while I was in Munich, Germany. I still use it everyday. Now I'm in my 50's, and it has helped my skin remain youthful, soft and clean. I highly recommend it. In fact a few years ago, I was at Sephora, and I asked for Dr. Hauschka. The sales representative said they had stopped selling Dr. Hauschka. He showed me some alternatives, but even he admitted that Dr. Hauschka was the best.

Great Cleanser, Ok Bottle

The perfect cleanser, truly. Always sad when I run out!Four stars only because I always have about half an inch of product that won't come up through the pump at the very end, have to store it upsidedown and shake the bottle.

Excellent product

I've tried many cleansing products and this one was the winner. I have very "complicated" skin. It is super dry and easily irritated. Soothing Cleansing Milk is the only cleanser that does not dry out or irritate my skin. I use it to take off my make up and works very well. Even though for now I use it to take off my eye make up too when it get's into my eyes it stings quite a lot but I am still in the search for a separate eye make up remover that doesn't irritate my eyes and the skin around it. I like this product very much.

Major improvement over soap

With sensitive skin and getting older, I spent a year trying various brands that touted safer ingredients and good results. I’ve been happily using Dr. H. for two years now. I’m a recent convert to the cleansing milk, rarely use soap now. My skin tends to dry out in winter and it’s been a big boost to keeping it moisturized; nice texture and goes on smoothly. I build on it with a toner, day cream, and moisturizer. SPF in last if I’m going out.

This cleansing product is wonderful for dry skin. It cleanses without drying.

Really makes my face feel good. However sometimes I don’t feel like it cleanses enough but that may be because of its ingredients.

My favorite cleanser of all!

This is my absolute favorite cleanser of all. I've discovered that natural products work so much better for my skin, so I really wanted to try this brand and I'm so glad I did. I consider my skin to be sensitive; I can have issues with redness, heavy (synthetic) fragrances can be extremely irritating to my skin, and chemicals like benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are absolute no-gos for me. This cleansing milk is so calming to my skin so I haven't had any issues with redness (though I have with some expensive brands) and has made it look and feel much more even. I would also consider my skin to be somewhat acne prone. Since starting to use it, I haven't had any serious breakouts (and it hasn't even been that long since I started.)If you're on the fence about trying this product, go for the travel size! That way, you can try it like a sample and won't be stuck with a lot of product in case you don't like it (even though I bet you'll love it!)

I love this cleanser. It removes my make-up so gently and doesn't dry my skin out one bit, which is so important for me now that I'm living in a desert climate. My skin feels best when I follow with the cream cleanser but some days, when I'm not wearing make-up and I have very little time, I will only use this Cleansing Milk and my skin feels great.

I use the Cleansing Milk alternating with Cleansing Cream for ages. Gentle yet effective. Complete the morning cleanse with Facial Mist. A little bit usage of all three products goes a long way. Have been using only Hauschka products, along with facials, for a very, very long time.

I've been using Dr. Hauschka since I was a child. These products were the only thing my mother would let me put on my face. For about 15 years, the only things I ever used on my face were the Cleansing Milk, Cleansing Cream and the Rose Day Cream. I believe these are the 3 staples every Dr. Hauschka user, or newbie, should start with. I use the cleansing cream every morning for light exfoliation, and the cleansing milk at night to really cleanse my face of make-up, dirt and toxins my skin may have absorbed throughout the day. This cleansing milk, truly does leave your face feeling clean, soothed, and refreshed at the same time.

Changed my Life

I have been using this for over 12 years. My skin is extremely sensitive. For most of my life, I had to use hydrocortisone cream everyday because my skin was so inflamed and welted. But after using this I no longer need it and I have finally found relief! Now I only get normal blemishes during hormone fluctuations which are easily soothed by using the Facial Toner and Clarifying Oil. I highly recommend this product to everyone. It has changed my life in so many ways. The pain is gone and I get compliments on my skin on a regular basis. A bottle lasts me about 3 month. Which I think is well worth it!

Wonderful for sensitive skin!

I started using Dr. Hauschka products a few years ago when I was going through a rosacea period. The soothing cleansing milk became a mainstay for my skin then and it remains one to this day. It is very gentle on the skin.

Great cleanser - but the cap does not appear to unscrew so a lot of the product is left in the bottle when you get to the end -- I'd like to use every last drop and not waste any of it but I haven't figured out a way. Suggestions?

Yes, this product is very gentle and soothing. Perfect for my sensitive skin. I mostly use it in the morning, followed by Facial Toner. It's interesting that it can also be used as a shaving milk/product, which I haven't tried yet but will soon.Wonderful cleansing/make up removal milk for daily use.

Soothing cleanser unsurpassed!

This is a truly wonderful product for my sensitive skin. I have been using it for years, to replace the exfoliating cleanser I used when I was younger. Get the fabulous sponge to use with this amazing product, for deeper cleanse and to remove make-up. Fingers alone will not remove your make-up with this product. I am uber sensitive to fragrance, and this has a very light fragrance.

Milk great. You sent wrong sample and a coupon I couldn’t use. Customer service said they couldn’t help. Not my idea of good service.

Surprisingly Not As Good As Expected

I ordered this about five weeks ago and for the first 7 days, it seemed to be fine. My sensitive skin was calmed and soft. Then I started noticing my skin felt a bit tight and started having small dry patches on my cheek. As I continued to use it,the dryness spread to the other cheek and chin. I followed the instructions to the letter and the only thing that I concluded was that alcohol,being the second ingredient,was to blame. I also started getting a few little pin sized red dots. The scent is a bit heavy,and I could easily smell the alcohol,which caused me to cough. Even using the Rose Day Cream didn't quell the dry patches. I really wanted this to work for my sensitive skin but it didn't. However I gave it two stars because it does remove makeup well.

This is the way to remove makeup

This is a wonderful cleansing milk. I use it as a makeup remover and a cleanser. First, I put a small amount on the cotton round and wipe my face, working a bit longer in the eye area, since it usually has more makeup to remove. Then, I wash my face with some warm water and massage an additional pump of cleansing milk on my face. I wash it off and that's it, works like a charm.

Best Makeup Remover/ Face Wash for any skin type!

I have been using Dr. Hauschka products for over 10 years. I have tried other makeup removers along the way, but this one does the trick even for hard to remove waterproof mascara and it is so gentle on the skin and eye area. I would recommend this product to anyone. I also use it daily to rinse away oils from the skin on hot days even when not wearing makeup. Love it!

In the beginning, it almost seemed like it could not clean because it is so thick. But it must, because my skin does feel clean but super moist.

Even though we know this is not a stand-alone product and needs to be followed by the Cleansing Cream, it leaves too much of a film and some makeup (foundation colour and all) on my family member, for whom I have been looking for a natural solution. No she doesn't expect to feel squeaky clean but this may be that the milk is not water-soluble enough. She's gone back to micellar water. Some room for improvement, possibly.

Best Combo Product

I first used this product when I ordered a trial kit, and I immediately fell in love with it. As a facial cleanser, the Milk is perfect. I have extremely dry skin that often feels taut after I cleanse it, but this product left me with supple, nourished skin instead. But the best feature of this product is its ability to take off make-up. I never really used make-up remover before but this stuff is great. It doesn't burn my eyes and actually takes off all my eye make-up, including mascara. It's wonderful. If you are not sure about committing to the full bottle, I'd suggest buying the trial size. This cleanser is so luxurious, and I've never found anything to compare with it. I've been using this cleanser for more than a decade. As my skin has aged, the soothing cleansing milk continues to make it feel soft, smooth, and refreshed. I travel frequently, and it does the trick whether I'm in a warm, wet climate or a cold, dry one. My skin always feels calm and refreshed. I cannot recommend it enough.

A Great Cleanser

This product is really nice and soothing, but it has a weird smell to it. It kind of smells like the kind of cleanser that a dermatologist would perscribe, but it works really well.

By far the best cleanser I have ever used.

I have sensitive dry skin and very sensitive eyes and this cleanser doesn't bother either one. I had a lot of trouble over the years finding a cleanser that took off my eye makeup and didn't bother my eyes for the rest of the night. This one does not and it won't leave your skin feeling all dried out and tight. I won't use anything else.

Gentler than water

My skin gets tight as a drum from water alone but this product is wonderful! I've never found a cleanser so mild, it's more mild than water for goodness' sake! Even when my skin gets especially sensitive and I tissue off rather than rinse, it isn't even irritating (like other brands of tissue off cleansing cream often are)

Best makeup remover EVER!

My problem with most makeup removers and cleansers is how harsh they are. Seems they always make your skin feel tight afterward. But not this. It gently removes your makeup yet has the consistency of a light moisturizer. It leaves skin clean, NOT stripped. I'm always tempted to try something less expensive, but I've been down that road before with so many other cleansers and always regretted it. I only stick with this now--it's worth the investment.

Cleans and Soothes!

Another great product. Before I started using your Soothing Mask, in all honesty, I would apply this lightly, and then leave it on. I don't wear face makeup every day, but when I would go out and wanted to wear makeup, I would apply it over the cleansing milk. My makeup never caked, and you know what else, my skin didn't dry out from the makeup. On it's own though a lovely perfect and effective cleansing lotion.

The texture of the milk is silky and pleasant to apply. It gently removes foundation and eye make-up. It is on the liquid side, but I was surprised at how effective it is while feeling so gentle. It left my skin soft and did not cause breakouts. It's a keeper!

Worth every penny!

I had originally bought a sample set of Dr. Hauschka products at a local store, and even though I am currently a very poor college student, when I ran out of the sample tube of the soothing cleansing milk I went back and bought a bigger size. I use it every night and most mornings, and my skin hasn't been this happy in years. For me the biggest draw has been that it really does soothe my skin, and while I'm sensitive to scents, this one is mild and pleasant enough that I find it relaxing rather than the assault to the senses that so many products on the market provide.

Does not thoroughly remove make-up

This product doesn't work as a cleansing cream or make-up remover for me. After using this, a ton of make-up came off on my cotton pad when using the toner. My face still felt very dirty. It works best if used after cleansing the face with a gentle cleanser and then applying this to help moisturize the face. The product is great for keeping the skin moist and supple but that's about it. It would better be called After Cleansing Dew.

So gentle

I purchased the limited size in Whole Foods and once I run out I will get the full size. My skin felt very fresh, clean and not dry and tight. I use to use Amore Pacific to wash my face but that made my skin very dry, this product is perfect to keep the skin hydrated and clean.

I've been using this product for about two years now and I absolutely love it. I use it as a makeup remover and just as a gentle cleanser at night. In the morning I use the Cleansing Cream, and the combination of the two products has worked wonders for my skin! I've always had sensitive skin and I breakout easily, but not with these products. They have been miraculous for my skin.

Very soothing...

This cleansing milk is true to it's name, it's very soothing to my sensitive skin. It's very refreshing and cleans well which leaves a smoothness to my skin. The only problem is when the cream is at the bottom it's difficult to squirt. Any solutions?

This is my favorite part of the Dr. Hauschka skin care routine. It feels great on the skin. My skin feels cleansed and moisturized at the same time which is different then any other skin care cleansers I have tried. Wheat?

I'm not sure if wheat on the skin can be a problem as in eating grains. It can induce inflammation but I have not seen that happen. I have mixed feelings about this now that I know.

Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Milk Cures All My Skin Issues

I have marveled at how quickly using the cleansing milk restores my skin to it's best condition. This porduct in combination with the cleansing creme and the toner will clear up any break-outs or dry patches overnight. It is the best.

I always come back!

I try a lot of different products, I guess thinking that something newer will be better, but I always come back to this cleanser. It is perfect for my dry, sensitive, maturing skin. Its gentle, not drying at all, and still does a great job of cleansing. It gets off most of my makeup (sometimes mascara needs a little extra help). I think I will just give up now and quit wasting money on other products, because they never compare!

Gentle - Perfect for dry climates

This gentle cleanser has the most lovely delicate scent, and is effective without over-drying my skin. I live in a dry climate, and have very sensitive skin. This part of my skin care regimen keeps my face clean, reduces redness that occurs when I use other, more harsh cleansers.

Gentle, soothing cleanser

I use this as an eye make-up remover daily because it is the only botanical facial cleanser I have ever found that does not irritate my eyes. It's incredibly gentle yet also effective. In the morning I put it on and leave it a few minutes to soak into my skin and help soften and prep it for daily toner, serum or oil, cream, sunscreen, and powder. I use the Dr.H facial sponge to remove it and love that the sponge helps to totally remove the cleanser without any rubbing or abrasion.

Love it for summer when my skin is somewhat dry and I am outside a lot. I use it too remove makeup and to get started in the morning most days. Good product.

This product cleans nicely but is more watery than cleansing milks i'm accustomed to. More product is needed per wash which is not economical.

The packaging!

i use quite a few hauschka products and like their mildness for my dry mature skin. I bought this seeking a mild cleanser, no foam. Within two days the dispensing mechanism broke, with theee quarters of the very expensive product in the bottle. And you can't just tip it over, bang it against your hand and it comes out. NO, I dug it out with a q tip. Bad bad packaging.

The Best Cleanser in the World

I know that sounds like quite the claim but it is true! This cleanser makes my delicate, sensitive skin feel clean without making drying or stripping its moisture. Like all of their other products it also clearly has a medicinal effect, soothing my easily-irritated skin. I highly recommend this product and everything else in the Dr. Haushka line!

Nice if combined with more thorough cleansing routine

This is very gentle. If I only use this I will break out. However it is great as a first cleanse to remove make up or as a cleanser if you have already bathed that day and not gotten too dirty but want a nice moisturized face. Doesn't strip.

Does not get my skin clean enough. Still have to use Micellar cleansing water.

LOVE this cleanser

I love Dr. Hauschka products. I started using this product first a little over a year ago and I love it. It is gentle on my sensitive skin, doesn't dry it out and feels and smells wonderful (as do all of their products). It lasts a good bit of time as well considering I use it every day, twice a day (morning and night).

Great cleaning milk

I would totally recommend the cleaning milk. I have normal/sensitive skin and this has been very helpful in reducing the sporadic redness around my chin. However, just for some more heavy make up is not totally efficient and I prefer to use a cleansing balm. Also, I cannot use it for removing the make-up from my eyes, it worked for me only for my face, which is totally fine.
