The mascara works well. It makes my lashes appear longer and fuller. Can’t say it’s my favorite out there, but I like it and use it. It does what it says.

My Favorite Mascara!

This has become my absolute favorite mascara! I can easily get it off with oil free wipes, so it doesn’t require tugging and excessive abuse to my poor lashes I get off. I also feel it improves my lashes. Must have some conditioning ingredients. Lashes look better when I use this versus any other mascara. It doesn’t hurt that the plum color really makes my green eyes stand out! The black great also for that.

Love it! Not waterproof though.

This is a great mascara. It applies very easily and accentuates my eyelashes and eyes beautifully. I have had NO redness, itchiness, or burning when this has gotten into my eyes!

However, the mascara is NOT waterproof and it does smudge easily, so definitely be careful if you are touching your eyes when wearing it. I have had a few occasions where I have to wipe my eyes, only to remember that the mascara smudges very easily.

It doesn't flake off. I love the violet color and it's subtle. It makes my eyes look brighter.

Volume Mascara

When it first goes on its very nice! It really makes my lashes look full and beautiful but within an hour it runs all over my eyes. I am especially prone to this phenomenon so I couldn't speak for everyone. But I can't wear this mascara. I've been looking for one that doesn't run. I have tried just about every brand. I still haven't found what I'm looking for.

very natural looking

I tried the plum and it's a really fun color. It covers my brown lashes but doesn't look fake. My lashes are thinning and this gives them enough boost in thickness to look beautiful naturally. Removing it is very easy with coconut oil -- no sticky residue where I have to rub my delicate skin over and over like some other brands. I highly recommend this mascara.

Blue eyes

The plum color is gorgeous for blue eyes. It lasts all day (I always apply the Dr. Hauschka brow & lash gel underneath). Buildable volume and length. I love this mascara.

Pretty color

I love the idea of this mascara, and the green is a very pretty color on the wand. I find when I apply it, however, it just appears to be brown on my lashes. I like the idea of it being subtle, but is there any chance you could make it just a little bit more green?

Wishing it were different

I wish it were not so; but this mascara sadly disappointed me. I love the color (brown) and it emphasizes my blue eyes beautifully. The formula fans out my lashes like a thick fringe, and the lashes remain soft and comfortable. But for the life of me, I cannot keep it on, It smeared on my upper lids and down below my eyes like mad. I had such high hopes for this and had paired it with the brown eye definer. My eyes looked stunning, but not for long. Love the eye definer, but I just cannot use the mascara.

Like the green

It goes on very light, I use it on the eyelashes and eyebrows. It’s a very subtle green.

Volume or Defining

I usually order tbe brown Defining mascara. (I prefer the old brush and packaging there, BTW!).I tried the 03 purple Volume. The color is fun, and subtle, so anytime good. I find it's better to get it right with one coat. It's a bit tricky, hit or miss sometimes. I wonder, if the brush had more bristles, would it go on more evenly? I like a natural look. With practice, you can get that, and with more intensity than the Defining.

Great all around

It does everything that I’m looking for in mascara: goes on evenly (no clumps!), makes my lashes pop, fairly easy to remove at night, and doesn’t flake off during the day. Great all around.

Green toned Mascara

The green tone is pretty but I don’t find the application of the voluminizing brush effective. I find it’s better to use my regular mascara and then apply a top layer.

Disappointed

This mascara goes on wonderful the only downfall is it seems to burn my eyes. It's almost like I can feel vapors of some type of chemical when I get the wand close to my eyes.

I am continuing my search for the perfect mascara. This one isn't it, unfortunately. It covers nicely and even adds some volume to my eye lashes, but it does tend to smear after a while and leave black smudges below my eyes. It also stings my eyes for a moment or two when I first apply it. The irritation disappears very quickly and leaves no lasting impression, but I do notice that initial discomfort.

Mascara

I love it! This particular one always seems to last longer and goes in perfect. Also it washes off great without leaving dark circles under my eyes.

Beautiful long and clear lashes

This is my first time using Dr. Hauschka mascara and I’m very happy with it. Will continue purchasing more and more. My eyes use to get red and tiered after wearing mascara, but not anymore.

I have many allergies and sensitivities. I took a chance and ordered the Dr. Hauschka volume mascara because of the purity of their products. YAY! No reaction. Went on smoothly and looked natural.

Like but don't looove

I was excited to find a green mascara, but, maybe my lashes are a bit dark, this is coming up more of a green/brown. It's fine, I was just expecting more of a POP of green. It clumps a little, but I use another wand to separate the lashes and it's fine. I have not had the same smear/runny issues other folks have posted. In fact I wore this in the shower with no problem, not a single smudge. Also, a super plus is that it does NOT irritate my eyes at all (most mascaras do). My primary point of contention is the price point. I paid the full price on this and frankly, it's nice, but not amazing. Only a few days later it went on sale, less than 1/2 price during 12 Days sale, which only made me wonder about it's actual value. It's a lovely mascara, but I would not pay full price again.

A safe mascara

I use the tar and charcoal free mascara on a daily basis. I would recommend it!

Nothing better than this!

I have used this mascara for years. I have very sensitive eyes and prefer a natural look with the right level of volume. This fits the bill.

Nice Mascara but runs easily

I liked the mascara applicator and how it looked on, however my eye was splashed with water and I had a black streak running down my face. I was surprised - I had never had a mascara with such little staying power if it got wet. I will use it but not on humid days, days I work out or any type of events or activities where I don't want to have to worry about my makeup running!

The plum is beautiful

I love the plum mascara. It makes my lashes look long and the color is perfect for when I don't want to wear eye liner.

Formula is good - brush not so much.

Better than most "volume" mascara and DH has an actual brown color - since I'm blond I really need this - not brown-black like many brands have. Non-irritating and comes off easily when desired.

Great mascara

I have been using Volume Mascara for a very long time. I wear contacts and it doesn’t bother them. I also have very sensitive eyes and I don't have any problems with it as well.

Lovely lashes

Great coverage of lashes! Almost too much for my delicate eyes. I liked to wear liner on upper and lower. Now with this beautifully thick mascara, I can leave off upper liner for the office. The eye makeup remover makes easy wash off at night.

Not much volume

This mascara stays put, but does not really thicken my lashes, just lengthens a bit. Looks very natural, not for a dramatic look.

Although I’m very impressed with all of Dr. Hauschka’s products, the mascara hasBeen a disappointment. It’s very thick, clumpy,Difficult to work with and smudges easily.It’s not waterproof so it leaves a residue under my eyes at the end of the day. ??

Itchy reaction.

When I applied on lashes I got itchy/burning reaction. Also this mascara does not stay well on lashes. Not my product.

The brush is too large. It seems to me that since this is a volume mascara, those of us with small scanty lashes may purchase this product. However, the brush is too large for my own lashes and is very messy applying.

I love this mascara, My eye lashes are very light and this mascara makes them darker and longer. I purchased it in black and purple. I love them both.I recommend this mascara

Love & Stays On Without Smudging

I don't know why I ever stopped using this stuff. I've tried several other natural mascaras the last couple of years and have now come full circle back to this stuff. I use the Plum color and it's so subtle and complementary to my hazel eyes. It does not come off/smudge under my eyes after a full 10 hours in the office. It also doesn't crumble or flake off. I have lighter features, so I like how voluminous it is. I do suggest using a lash brush after though, just to get a more feathery look along with the volume this product provides. The newer packaging is quite bulky and can be a little irritating, but that definitely won't stop me from using this for a long time to come.

Nice Color and Volume but...

I have very sensitive eyes and wear contacts. This mascara doesn’t irritate and gives nice volume. However, by the end of the day the mascara has smudged greatly and I do get raccoon eyes.

I really wanted to like this, but I get a clumpy mess when I use it. Raccoon eyes within 30 minutes after I apply it. I love the wand brush, but the minute I opened it it was clumpy all over brush and wand.

Great stay all day mascara

Bought it in brown and black colors. Use it daily. Less than 5 min to apply. Stays all day long. At the end of work day I go to the gym and although it does ware off a bit I do not get a mess of mascara under my eyes. Just a couple of dots from the sweat which is ok with me. Container has a lot of product. I put it on, leave it dry of a couple of second and apply a second layer for full eye lashes. Nonetheless, one layer is just enough.

After purchasing brown and plum shades ( because I already have black Color)!They are both amazing! I love the plum! It’s subtle. Looks black. The brown is also dark but soft. They apply easily. They smell lovely and they wear well for hours. Love!

Expected more color

The texture feels good. Must apply many times to obtain fullness in lashes. The plum color is similar to the brown color.On another note, I wish there was a physical location I could visit to view and test face makeup and lipsticks of color store proper shades for me. Went to WFM, but they have a small limited selection.

Glamorous. Not smudge proof.

I purchased this mascara in brown. It looks terrific on. In fact, it's the best looking mascara I've tried, ever! Sadly, it isn't smudge proof. For me that means it's not suitable for daily wear, when I'm likely to smear it. I love to wear it for an evening out, when I'm aware of keeping it neat. It adds a touch of real glamour.

Replacement mascara

the volume mascara replaces a regular mascara my daughter bought me. the volume mascara goes on very fast and thick and I end up having to remove some by blotting with a cosmetic pad. the color seems darker also.

Best Natural Mascara to Make My Lashes Look Fuller!

I would like to give this mascara a 4.5. It’s the very best natural mascara that makes sparse lashes look fuller! The only improvement I could suggest would be to make a humidity or water-proof mascara. I live where it is humid many days of the year, so this mascara sometimes gets clumpy and starts to melt and slide under my eyes.A little suggestion if your eyelashes are thin like mine: apply the mascara concentrating on just the tips of your lashes. Once dried, reapply: it is a wonderful transformation, that looks natural too!

I love the brush! I love the look! That said I can only give 4 stars because If you are prone to oily skin or just melt mascara like I do, this will pose some challenges. I love that I am nourishing my lashes when I use the product and it makes my lashes look amazing! My compromise is using it for short outings as it will sadly not last for a full evening out with my skin type.

Love the mascara. It does what it says. The only negative is that it sometimes leaves black marks on my upper eye lid. I notice it when it's hot outside. I wouldn't wear this to the beach, swimming, or working out of any sorts. But love the product and is also easy to take off.

Best Brush Ever!

Love this new formula! Stays on well and doesn't transfer to my skin when I am hot. The brush is amazing.

A Standby Mascara

I've been using Dr Hauschka's mascara for a few years now. I love that I feel the ingredients are safe and it works very well for me. I'll continue to be a repeat customer since it does exactly what I want and is one less product to worry about!

I was sceptical when I ordered the mascara, I expected it to bleed, smear, flake etc. None of the aforementioned. It is stay-put and beautifully packaged. The only thing that I have noticed is that my eyes seem to react a bit at first when I apply it but it is temporary and causes no irritation longer thaneed when I first put the wand up to my eyes. The plum is beautiful.

Melts onto my undereye

This is the first mascara I've tried that melts immediately off my lashes and onto my lower lid. I had to constantly wipe away product and ended up throwing it away; it just wasn't worth the hassle.

This is the only mascara I can wear without discomfort, irritation, and the desire to take it off immediately after walking in the door. Easy to take off and put on!

I have never been able to wear volume mascara until I tried this one. It makes my eye lashes look longer than they ever had. It doesn't flake or cause problems with my contacts.

Natural and easy-looking

This mascara has a natural, easy look to it which doesn't make it look like you're wearing mascara which is kind of the desired effect to make make-up look as natural as possible. I got this as a special promotion for free and us it from time to time, but I love my eye definers so much that I tend to use them as my base for eye make-up and this mascara when I really want a boost. The only thing I don't like about it is that it can run easily, BUT I would rather have that than use a mascara with waterproof chemicals which irritate the eyes and are bad for the body, so I just use this carefully and for special occasions. Great product!

Just The Best

This is the best mascara. I have tried quite a few. It looks so natural while applying, very smooth to use and it makes my lashes look naturally full, which it just what I am looking for. It comes off completely at once, no tugging at all.I wish it came in a brownish-black shade.

I do like this product. I got it for the natural ingridents, and I’ll keep using it for that reason. That means I’m willing to deal with a bit of smudging at the end of the day. It’s better in this way than the defining mascara.

I was a bit nervous trying this mascara in plum, but the color is beautiful. It is a soft dark color and it looks natural and warm.

Good With Glasses

The thickness of the mascara feels like you are really getting all that you need. I only put a few strokes on and then use a dry applicator to spread the mascara evenly over all the eye lashes. I only use it when I'm wearing glasses but not combined with the eye liner to keep a natural lighter look.

My favorite mascara!

I love this mascara!! I don’t ever want to use anything else. EVER!! Just a great quality product with natural ingredients. It glides on flawless, lengthens, thickens and looks great. I use black for a first coat then use aubergine on top! Dr. Hauschka does not disappoint!!

Smudges

Lots of great things about this mascara but it smudges. I look like I have black circles under my eyes by the end of the day. So sad, loved everything else about it.

Does it all!

I was addicted to the defining mascara until I tried the volume mascara and found a new favorite. It darkens and accentuates even the tiniest of lashes to make my sparse lashes ( gaps) look full and with no clumps. No smudges or burning either! I use this day or night.

I use the volume mascara for extra thickness when dressing up! Does the trick to make eyes pop without extra liner.

I like the fact that the product doesn't thicken up and yet it makes your lashes thicker. I would recommend it.

The ONLY Mascara for my Sensitive Eyes

After years of very rarely wearing mascara because of eye irritation, I found Dr Hauschka mascara. Not only is it the only mascara that won't cause redness and scratchiness for me, it smells great and works beautifully as well. Like other reviewers, I noticed that my lashes have grown thicker and longer in the few years I've been using this product. It's the only mascara I will ever buy again!

Truly lengthening and longlasting

I was excited when my order arrived because the tube of lengthening mascara was quite large and the application wand was a perfect shape to capture each lash while applying. I ordered the brown shade as I am a fair haired gal and black shades can look to dramatic at times on me. I am in love with the shade! it is truly the perfect medium brown and compliments my hazel eyes. This mascara TRULY does lengthen and strengthen the lashes, I noticed a difference in length after only four applications. I am hooked, this is definitely my new mascara for as long as it is available.

Really voluminous!

This is my favorite mascara of all time. I have super-sensitive skin, and cannot tolerate chemicals. This mascara does not hurt me at all, and it seems to keep my lashes in good condition because they are always growing well and they do not fall out at all when I remove my mascara. I like how brushing on multiple layers makes really thick, nice-looking lashes!

I am really happy with this mascara! The tube seems to last a long time with out getting dried up like many do. The application looks soft yet full. I like that it makes my lashes stand out without looking like I'm wearing lots of mascara.

Wow! This is one lady this product has impressed!

Let me tell you why. I have very sensitive eyes. Hence, I ventured out to see if this product did everything it advertised. To make this review short. It did. I have no stinging or itching from my eyes. I have gorgeous fully plump and thickened lashes. No, I will not send you a picture. You will just have to take my word for it. I know for a fact though, I am a happy camper. I will be buying more of this product real soon. Thank you so much Doctor for having mercy on women's eyes and preventing me from being that woman that continues to buy the wrong product for her eyes.

Great quality product, the only downside is that even though it has that purplish tint when you look at it on the brush, it just looks plain black on the lashes. Does not give that purplish tint.

As good as Urban Decay Perversion!

I was looking for a natural/organic mascara to replace the Urban Decay Perversion I have been using. I was skeptical b/c I did try Dr. Hauschka's regular mascara first and was not very impressed. After using this volume mascara, I can safely say I no longer need to buy the Urban Decay Perversion any longer. This works just as well and makes my lashes long & thick - though I do layer this with Dr. Hauschka's regular mascara too. I put this on first and then layer the regular mascara on top of it. It helps with separating the lashes due to any clumping the volume might cause.

Dramatic results with safer ingredients

Dr Hauschka's Volume mascara is wonderful. When applied with care and the results are stunning. Since it a wet formula you have to go slow and coat the lashes carefully . If you don't you'll end with mascara in places other than your lashes. The mascara stays on, doesn't flake and looks full but clean . When applying you'll notice an astringent type smell, but it fades quickly. If you wear this mascara best way to remove is Dr Hauschka cleansing milk. Otherwise it could be challenging . I've found nothing better for my lashes and it is after all Dr Hauschka.

I am pretty allergic to most make up even all natural and organic stuff sometimes, my eyes will water and itch and burn and under my eyes and my eye lids will swell so I actually haven't worn make up in quite a while but I saw this and thought what the heck. I really really like it. No burning no swelling my eyes are a little watery at the very end of the day but again I am super sensitive to make up and I keep wearing it so definitely best mascara I've ever used!

Nice mascara that does not irritate my eyes. I've had a lot of problems with mascara flaking and irritating my eyes and this one doesn't. Love it!

Unhappy

Missing the old Volume Mascara, it made my scimpy blonde lashes dark and full. I had used and loved it for many years. The new formula with the giant brush applies to much mascara and the brush is so large that it's impossible to get close to the lash line without getting it on your lid. Probably would work fine for someone with thick lashes to begin with.
