No racooon eyes

The one thing I absolutely love about this mascara is that it does not leave mascara marks under my eyes. The only thing I wear under my eyes is the Dr. Hauschka Eye Cream (have done this for years), and if I use a well known mascara I can be sure it will leave mascara marks under my eyes--it almost seems to be attracted to the eye cream. The only thing I don't like about the Dr. H mascara is that it requires quite a few repeated applications in order to 'show up' on my lashes. Definitely NOT a deal breaker...the raccoon look was.

I've been using the defining and volumizing mascaras for about 5 years. I apply the defining, then the volumizing. The effect is beautifully defined lashes, without the negative impact of burning eyes from harsh ingredients that other brands use. A nice option as I find black too dark now that my hair is almost white. Non-clumping formula is great.

I like this mascara very much. I’ve used it for a long time. I like the lightness and gentleness of it and I can apply two or three coats if I want, and it doesn’t look clumpy or heavy at all. One coat isn’t enough as well.

I have used this mascara for years. I would buy at Whole Foods but they only carry your skin care products. So I had to order on line. I would love to find your mascara in my area but I have not found a business in my area that sells your mascara.

Perfect mascara!

This mascara and wand are perfect for catching all last hairs big and small to create the fullest, feathery, long lashes whether used on it's own or combined with a last primer. I am delighted to see how the Hauschka makeup line has grown over the years.

This is my favorite mascara ever and there is no other blue color like this on the market. I love the way it does what it does, beautifully separated, slightly lengthened lashes… Exactly the look I LOVE and what looks best on me. I also like the feel of it on my lashes. I see a lot of people don’t like the new brush… I actually love it, it allows me to get really close to the lash line. Almost gives the look of eyeliner without having to use eyeliner. I love most everything about this mascara… and the fact that my extremely sensitive eyes can handle it, makes it even better. The only one thing I wish was better is if it didn’t smear and run with any type of tear, but that type of ingredient could also possibly compromise how great this formula is for sensitive eyes, so if that’s the case, it’s fine just the way it is.

I have worn the Defining Mascara several times now. It nicely enhances lashes and looks clean. Brushing on twice is all it takes for me.
Being able to order online is what I prefer now. Delivery is surprisingly fast.

Love Hauschka, but not this

I love the ingredient list, and the applicator as it gets to each individual lash. However, I first tried this on a cold and windy day, and as my eyes teared a tad from the bluster, the mascara ran down my cheeks.

Reliable and flattering

This mascara is very pure - I have sensitivities and this is the only one I have used that didn't cause burning or irritation.

Mixed results

This mascara offers a rich, dark black lash and stays put well while being easy to remove and does not lash damage. Unfortunately the brush doesn't work well for me. Every time I use it, I have to brush/comb my lashes out with a brow comb so they don't stick together. Once I do that though, they look great. My suggestion: keep the formula, change the brush.

If you're looking for just a hint of mascara — and not the thick, clumpy look — this is perfect. The applicator is small and delicate, which allows you to apply just a little color (or layer it for something more dramatic).

I really like the shape of the brush, as it allows one to get the little inside and outside lashes. I like a natural look, so one coat does it for me. Goes on smoothly, no problem with clumping or becoming cakey, nice mascara!

The only mascara I would wear

I tried many mascaras and they will just make my eyes itchy. This is the only mascara that I don't feel on my lashes. The downside is that it doesn't give much effect. I use mascara hardly ever, my existing Dr. Haushka mascara is 1 year old and it is still the same quality.

Not happy

I only wore the mascara one time and it was on my upper lid and beneath the lower lid. It was hard to remove from the skin and I never put it on again.

Long, clean lashes

Hands down my favorite mascara ever! I love how it doesn’t clump at all - just crisp, clean, thin lashes which makes them look even longer.

Lovely Except it Smudges

I wanted to love this mascara. The application is beautiful with one coat and I really like the small brush. However, it does not last more than half a day for me on the bottom lashes. Even when I do not touch my eyes, it smudges off on the bottom and leaves dark splotches. If you do not use mascara on your bottom lashes then this product would probably be perfect for you!

Good basic mascara

got this because I wanted something that was natural and didn't make my eyes itch or water. This certainly fits both of those categories. It does define lashes precisely. However it doesn't really make them look longer and it does come off a bit and smudge the under-eye area when I am sweaty or tearful. I like it best combined with the Dr. H volume mascara ... together the effect is WOWZA!

I was looking for a mascara that would give good color but not be goopy and clog up my lashes. The brush provides the definition I was looking for. I read that someone else didn't like the brush but it's perfect for me.

new brush is poor

Been a loyal DH mascara user for years but REALLY disappointed in this little, rubbery brush. Please bring back the bristle brush - the new one is very ineffective in mascara application. Tried switching to my old brush after I cleaned it but of course the tubes are not the same size.

Elegant Mascara

This mascara is absolutely gorgeous: I have long, fine, relatively sparse eyelashes. This mascara glides on like silk, and lasts all day. Likewise, I used my previous tube for five months without any difference in texture or performance. My eyelashes never fall out when removing this mascara, which rinses off easily with warm water alone.

This mascara is indeed the best one of all I have tried.It is easy to apply, no smudges. And it lasts most of the day.What I like most about it, is that it actually protects my eye lashes.I prefer the blue mascara which I buy direcly from dr.hauschka.com, since I cannot get it where I live.

Awesome Wand

I love the skinny wand and the fact that it does not clump coming out of the tube. The mascara does not clump my eyelashes together which I have often happen with other products. The product makes my eyelashes look so much longer than any other product I have used.

It was a great relief to see that I was right to trust the reviews for this product. I’m a convert. I can apply this mascara easily. It is creamy and just the right consistency. NO clumps ever. I don’t have to wipe off the wand before I apply the mascara because the perfect amount is on the wand when I remove from the canister. My lashes look great. So glad I found you, Dr. Hauschka mascara!

Just right

I hate clumpy heavy mascara - I wear it everyday and believe make-up should enhance one's looks not overpower them. This mascara works great, defines my lashes, is smooth and clean.

I love the Dr. Hauschka defining mascara. The applicator brush is very nice - carries just the right amount without clumping. I can take a nap during the day and look just as nice as before. It does not smear, or flake, but washes off easily. Love it.

I have used Dr. Hauschka waterproof mascara for many years and loved it. I actually ordered this, thinking I was getting the same one, however, was very happy once I tried this new mascara. It works SO much better for my 60 yr. old lashes! I noticed when getting older, my lashes were not as thick. This mascara really helps with that without looking "lumpy". I am so glad I got this even if I did not plan it. It is great for those of us who are getting on in years

Gentle and natural but smudges a bit

I do recommend this product, I feel good about wearing it because of the natural ingredients.I have noticed that it smudges at the end of the work day and definitely at night if I’ve been wearing it a whole day, so I usually remove it at that point and reapply if needed.

I have used this mascara for years. It deepens the color of my lashes and makes them appear fuller in a very natural way. I teach yoga and this mascara never bleeds or ends up under my eyes after hours of teaching and demonstrating.

Perfect for everyday. Soft, natural look - doesn’t look like you are wearing any mascara. I used the Brown but prefer the Black because it is a soft black -not jet black. Only thing I didn’t like is that it smudges a bit.

Natural and Non-Clumping

My Whole Foods stopped carrying Hauschka makeup, so for years I've been without. In the meantime I also started wearing contacts and two natural brands of mascara I tried had enormous clumps that would actually get trapped in my eyes causing irritation. So, I decided to go back to Hauschka mascara, even if it meant ordering online. Luckily it has not changed --smooth and natural looking without all those fake Barbie clumps. I've also always liked the rose smell of this mascara, and the way it cleans off easily. So, if you are the type that prefers a more natural look, this is great. If you want Barbie lashes, you will probably need a couple coats of this mascara to build.

I’m glad you asked. This is the best mascara I’ve ever used. No hyperbole, it goes on smoothly and enhances my eyelashes better than others I’ve used over the last 55 years (started at 15). It doesn’t smear and is easy to remove. I’m too fair to wear black mascara and am so glad Dr. Hauschka has brown.

I really like this mascara. I would mention that it will not provide you with thicker, longer lashes, but it does it's job in highlighting (or darkening) your natural lashes and works very well. I really like using it along with the brow and lash gel, and have found the gel really improves the application and overall effect of the mascara. I have had no irritation in my eyes when using, and it washes off easily at the end of the day.

Healthy Lashes forever!

After using this mascara for about 3-4 months my lashes have grown longer and stronger. I keep getting asked if they are my real lashes and I proudly say yes! It is also easy to remove which protects the eye area from being damaged from over scrubbing when trying to remove the product. I just love the way it glides on my lashes as well- like silk!
