This cream is effective in moisturizing my hands and arms. The cream is easy to apply and is not gooey. It is absorbed easily into the skin without a greasy feel. I will repurchase this cream again.

A Standard in my Facial Care Toolbox

Since I tend to use Dr. H's Intensive Regenerating Day Cream, sun screen, and Dr. H's Tinted Day Cream in the morning, I often use the Rose Day Cream in the evening after washing with Dr. H's Soothing Cleansing Milk. In my 70s, I live in dry Colorado and spend time daily outdoors.

I am in my 70s, and have been using Rose Day Cream, on and off, for at least 30 years. It feels good, it smells good, and is very gentle. When the weather is warm I sometimes switch to Rose Day Cream Light, and I have several other moisturizers I use sometimes in rotation, but this is lovely stuff, and the one I recommend most often to friends and colleagues.

This is a thick cream that protects my skin through the harsh Maine weather and is the only cream that doesn't turn my skin red.

I've tried so many creams, but always come back to this one. It hydrates without redness or breakouts, makes my skin soft and dewy, and smells like roses. I wish more came in the tube or it was cheaper. Make sure you let it emulsify on your finger so it goes further.

I've waited a year before finding a product that works

I believe that I have had systemic poison oak and for some reason, over the past year, anything that I put on my face causes an allergic reaction . I purchased this product on sale and applied a tiny portion on the lower part of my face and gradually increased the area that I applied it too over several days and included my eye area the last day. I believe that it is a symbiotic relationship and I look forward to having healthy skin again with the help of the Rose Cream. I can't believe my good fortune!. I received the hydrating eye cream as a gift and tried that today and my skin appears to like the product.

My 40 yr old sensitive bf loves this

He has higher sensitivity to skincare products than i do and refuses to use products if they dont work for him after fee uses. Hes been conquering my rose day cream so i ordered more for myself and other products to try. I would say this applies really thick but once u spread it it’s not thick at all. Perfect for winter and cold months especially for extremly dry skin. Bf went from reapplying face cream/lotion 5-8 times a day to 2-4 times a day. Huge improvement :)

i have older skin. really no wrinkles or problems but have been looking for a moisturizer like the type i remember. i found the rose day cream and i use it because it feels so good and looks so lustrous on my skin. i look forward to applying it and do a section at a time and after it is all over my face, i press it in. love it and the light rose scent is so real.

rose day cream

this is the best facial cream and gives the best results. it is a heavier cream when you apply so just apply a little at a time. the light natural rose fragrance is comforting and so is the cream. i would say it is for a drier skin and i look forward to applying it every day and sometimes at night. also, even though a heavier cream it absorbs beautifully and i love the sheen.

Too much for too little

This cream is rich and my skin loves it BUT it’s consistency is so thick and the tube so small ( for $45!) that its used up in no time. It’s thickness requires using I imagine 3X more than is necessary to cover your face. I will be trying a different product that isn’t so thick but can achieve the same glow.

I've been using Rose Cream as part of my skin care ritual for many years. People always compliment my complexion. I can't take credit, partly genetics and partly Dr. Hauschska products.

I've used this for two years now. Tend to use it more in the winter, as it is thicker/heavier than the rose day cream light (which I use year-round). Goes on well. I don't need much to get coverage (too much will be oily but can be blotted off).

It's a decent cream, not as thick as I anticipated. I need a thicker day cream for winter months, which I thought this was. I find I'm using more than a pea size amount to achieve proper hydration. I do love the rose scent, however at $45 an ounce I'm not sure I'll purchase another.

It is a lovely moisturizing cream especially for cold, winter months. There is a lighter version for the warmer weather. You just can't go wrong using it!

B day cream ever!!!!

I have used every sort of moisturizer on the market. I have combination skin and I live in Alaska. This is the first and only moisturizer I can apply in the morning and NOT have ANY dryness 12 hours later. I am always outdoors and I always feel dewy and youthful with this. I only ordered a sample size but seriously, better than expensive or drug store brands....I have tried them all!!!

Rich day cream, ideal for winter weather

I have been using this cream to weather the cold in NYC... it has been great for everyday use. However, after about 2 months of use, my skin has started to breakout. I am thinking of getting the Regenerating Day Cream to try it out.

Love it but shipping is expensive

I would give the cream a 5. I bought the travel size and the shipping was more than the cream ($9). It was not until the final page that the shipping was shown as other than $0 (and I accept this is my fault). However, that is too expensive. I would buy it again, in a larger size, and I presume the shipping would be roughly equal.

The cream is a bit heavy so a little goes a long way but it absorbs nicely so doesn't leave my skin greasy. My skin looks and feels hydrated. It has a pleasant, light fragrance which is very nice as well.

A "richer" lotion

This is perfect for the winter time dryness - it is much thicker and creamier of a cream than the Revitalizing Day Cream. The smell of the Rose Day Cream is lovely. I don't use this cream if it is especially hot and humid out or if my face is having an oily day - I use the Revitalizing Day Cream because it is much lighter.

Rave for rose cream

Initially I was surprised how dense the cream was, but after smoothing it over my face it was devine. I have sensitive skin I was so impressed how soothing it felt. Also having very dry skin this cream made my skin very moisturized. I love it!

This used to be my favorite day cream, however it no longer works for me. I use olive oil on a daily basis, but no other products. Miracle cream for dry winter skin

My favorite is the Melissa Day cream - granted the Rose cream is richer but I can’t say I use more product with Melissa- they just have a different finish. Some days it’s rose and some days it’s Melissa 1 I just tend to favor the Melissa - so for me Melissa get 5 stars while Rose gets 4.

All day protection

I have been using Dr. Hauschka products for over 40 years. As my skin ages I need gentle yet protective products. Now that I am 62 Rose cream gives me all day protection from dryness and makes my skin feel smooth.

Never received product

I purchased this during the 12 days of Christmas sale and never received the product. After waiting nearly 2 weeks I checked the tracking to see it was left outside my apartment building in New York City showing lack of care to send packages requiring a signature! Not only didn’t I get it in time for Christmas, I didn’t get it at all.

I like the rose day cream b. I bought Melissa, Regenerating and Rose and I like the rose b for combination skin even though Melissa was recommended. The Melissa was not moisturizing enough for me. Like the regenerating too. Will probably buy regenerating to use on dry spots at night.

Rich, creamy, lovely on the skin

I have dry, sensitive, and elderly skin, and I tend to move from one moisturizer to another on a regular basis. Rose Day Cream is, however, my favorite. It feels and smells wonderful, and I alternate it with Rose Day Cream Light among others.

Hi have Rosacea & have had a hard time, for years, putting anything on my face. I would react with rash or flushing or acne. I made a leap & bought this moisturizer a couple of years ago, & it almost completely resolved my skin issues. The Rose Day Cream is great for dry skin. It is a thicker texture and provides good coverage. I find that as it warms to my skin I'm able to "spread" it around more. It feels as though this isn't instantly soaked in, which I like, as it feels like it provides longer lasting moisture.

Beautiful cream

I love using the Rose Day Cream for my day moisturizer in the winter months and as my night time moisturizer in the warmer months. It has a beautiful natural rose fragrance and is so comfortable on my sensitive skin. Very soothing and nurturing. I prefer it over La Mer which is great, but this cream works just as well for me and I love that it's a fraction of the cost.

I was excited to try this out after reading an article stating that Jlo used it. I figured it would take a while to work properly...nope. It worked instantly! I put some on before going to bed. When I woke up, my face had NEVER felt softer.

Perfect for my dried out winter skin!

I use this on top of the Revitalizing Day Cream and it has fixed the little dry skin scaling in my t-zone in the winter! It isn't heavy at all! I only use the tini dab and pat it onto all the pads of my fingers, then I press it in gently all over(focusing on dry areas the most) until absorbed! If you apply more than the tiny dab, you will be left with extra. Do NOT rub in! Pat/press in!

Love this cream!

I have been using the light day creams for over a decade. A few years ago, when I turned 50, I wanted to add a slightly more intensive cream for days when my skin requires just a little more. I love the rose scent and nice texture.

Delicious smelling...

I like using this Creme (a little goes a long way) in the winter, and the light Creme in the summer. My perfect Creme would be the two combined! This is very thick, but in the dry heat of winter buildings it really protects my face. It smells heavenly too. One of the b I’ve ever used.

The last 10 days have ted my skin. -15F and below isn't kind and I have another tried & ted French derm line standby to compete with it BUT ROSE DAY CREAM WINS. It does leave a slight touch that there is a layer on the face but that may be what is needed to prevent drying-out.The intense rose scent dies away soon, so this is no lasting concern.

Honly love this cream

I have used a few different creams over the last year since I had my twins. My skin has been exceptionally dry. This is the only one that makes my skin feel moist. I highly recommend this cream. You won't be disappointed

Essential even in humid and hot Florida!

I was concerned at first that this cream would be too thick and rich for living in a warm climate, but was pleased to find that it was light enough to wear under a sun screen lotion during the hott part of the day. I tried Rose Day Cream light as well, but prefer the original.

Good but thick

I liked this cream a lot. I guess it's one of the most popular products from Dr. Hauschka. If you like thicker formulas, this is good for you. Personally, I like the Quince Day Cream more, but this cream is sufficient. It lasts a long time and the rose scent is great.

sustains my skin in winter

I am glad to find the rose day cream. This winter has been very cold and my skin reacts so badly under a certain temperature. This cream is rich and thick, but seems to help tremendously. I will probably try the lighter version when Spring comes, but for January, this feels wonderful. I have been using during the day, under my foundation. I am tempted to try the Melissa Cream too, as my skin is combination, but I want to try this one for a couple months this winter as it is helping. I do have a tiny bit of rosacea, and this does calm that down.

Great moisturizer, strong fragrance

My skin has been especially dry this winter and I love the thicker moisturizer. I am very sensitive to fragrance so I was thrilled to see an option to purchase this in a very small size to try out. The fragrance is too strong for me, so while I liked the moisturizer I won't be buying the larger size. If you come out with a scent-free version in the future, put me on your list :)

Favorite winter day cream!

I have been using the Rose day cream for a few years now. I live in MN so the winters can be harsh and drying on the skin. This cream works great for me during the colder months and I use the light version when it is hot & humid out. This cream is moisturizing without being greasy. It was also a great product to use when I experienced a period of rosacea. Wouldn’t go without it!

I love this cream so much that I had to buy a second tube for my travel kit. It has such a lovely smell and even though it feels a little greasy going on, it absorbs immediately and provides moisturizing properties all day long. It’s my daily moisturizer and I feel dry without it.

I switch between the Regenerating Facial Lotion and the Rose Day Cream. Both work well. Absorbs quickly.

I have been using this cream for years on and off and I always come back to it, I love the richness and rosy smell but mainly it heals every redness and irritation and is great under makeup. Without the greasy feeling, this is a great daily moisturizer. I wear it when I go out for a social occasion but now use it every day, even indoors.

Too thick

This product was too thick and heavy for my skin. It was hard to apply and spread evenly. I liked the lighter version of the same product, but think something in the middle would be better for me.

Rose Day Cream

This cream is too thick to apply with ease and my sensitive, dry and mature skin doesn't absorb it well. During the summer I use the light version and because I like that one, I wanted to try the Rose Day Cream for the winter, when I'm looking for extra moisture. However, it's not for me.

B cream for dry skin!

B natural moisturizer ever!!!!It makes my skin look soft and smooth.The fragrance is also lovely, I feel rose scent!I have very dry skin and after using it only 3 days I definitely saw a difference in my skin.This rose day cream is the b moisturizing cream I’ve ever had.

Great for dry skin

I have very dry, flaky skin - especially in the winter. It is hard to find cream that is thick enough, but this does the trick! It smells heavenly, I don't need a ton and it does not leave my face feeling sticky or cause me to break out. Fantastic product.

Favorite moisturizer

This is my go-to moisturizer in the winter. My skin dries out easily, and is also sensitive, but this cream keeps it even and hydrated. I've used it in the summer and it's been fine, but any other cream hasn't been able to keep my skin moisturized all day long. It feels thick and heavy at first, but if I wait a few minutes my skin absorbs it. Some parts of my skin it makes shiny, so I either use a lighter moisturizer there or dust some clear face powder over it and it's fixed! When I use it consistently, it makes my skin soft and calmed.

A little to heavy for people who have oily skin

I really liked the product it was a bit heavy. I will try the light version. My mother loved this product.

The Rose Day Cream for dry skin is like smearing a rose scented butter onto your skin...For dry skin this is just the thing to soak in and give the face a shiny lift and refreshing glow.

Perfect moisturizer

This is a new product to me, although I've been using Dr. Hauschka products for many years. The moisturizing effect of this is visible and able to be felt on the skin. I can feel it go through the layers of my skin deeply and am no longer worried about get over-dried skin. I like the thickness of it, especially for the colder months. The thickness/wet look effect wears off after about 30 minutes and the end result is dewey, smooth, hydrated looking and feeling skin.

Rose day cream

This cream is very thick! It takes a bit to soak up into my skin, so my skin looks shiny for a while after I apply it. It would be too much for the summer months but is great for the dry winter monthes. My skin feels very soft after using it!

excellent product! For years I have tried everything. My skin is so sensitive to most products. This is the first month that I've been on Dr. Hauschka and I LOVE everything. I expecially like the monthly specials that they offer at 25% off. I missed the free tonic spray and sad about that!

Most wonderful weather proofing, illuminating, skin loving face balm!

This cream is so fantastic, nothing compares! It winter-proofs my face and heals my chapped spots, and leaves my skin so illuminated and perky feeling. This is my go-to face balm. Mean while the scent is beautiful!

I use it at night

I'm always on the hunt for a good cream I can use at night. This stuff is super thick without being oily. I doesn't wear well under my make up so I use it as a night cream since there is no SPF in it and it has replaced my other night cream. I love that its all natural and still smells great. I wake up and skin feels refreshed and hyrdrated.

smells & feels great

I love this lotion. I use it every morning after washing my face with the cleansing milk and using the facial toner (for sensitive skin). I put a small (chickpea size dab) on when my face is still wet with the lotion.

Rich

I love this cream. It's nice and rich and quenches the thirst of my dry skin. I just wish that there was a bit more oil in it. When you first open the tube you get a little bit more oil as I guess it settles there and this is my fav part- goes on easier like this and there's not so much tugging to get it to spread since it's so thick.

This is my go to product. I love the texture and the smell of this product. My skin feels hydrated and refreshed. It is also a great base for makeup.

I like it

I like this day cream. It is an effective long-lasting moisturizer without being oily. I can see it perfect for colder weather. If the product has SPF 30+, it will be more desirable.

Love this!

I love this cream! It is perfect in Colorado's dry climate. I have combination skin and can be prone to blemishes in the t-zone but this makes my skin so hydrated without clogging my pores. The smell is intoxicating!

Glowing Skin After using

I seriously love this, my skin has been glowing ever since. It looks good under my makeup too, its not sliding down my face like other creams. It is very very thick so light application goes a long way. Product is a must. Go for it.

Hydrating and smooth

This cream is very hydrating and goes on smoothly. I got this after trying the light version (which I didn't feel was as hydrating). I have normal skin that tends to get dry in the winter months.

Soothing, Calming, and dressing

The Rose Day Cream is my favorite cream for my sensitive skin. But it does so much more that soothing; as I apply the cream in the morning, the smell calms and distresses. A great way to start the day.

Perfection

I use to spend so much money on luxury creams and they never gave me the same feel as the Rose Cream. I live in Florida and about two years ago I treated my skin with Accutane and since than I need more moisturizer even I live in Florida. This cream doesn't break me out and its perfect with my Tazorac cream.

Although RDC seems heavy, I've learned it I pat it on, leave it for a few seconds and then smooth it in, it works great and lasts all day. leaves my face moist and soft

love! even in summer

Great prep for makeup and keeps face hydrated and plumps up fine lines without making skin greasy in the least bit. even use it in the summer by applying a slightly smaller amount!

Overall a great product

I really love this product because my skin feels moisturized and soft after using it, however it is a little too heavy for summer use. In the winter it's perfect! But I switch to the light version in the summertime. It smells lovely but isn't overpowering. It definitely helps reduce redness and doesn't make me break out like most creams.

Exposed to poison sumac, had an allergic reaction also in 2002 and daily application to both arms for ten days healed scars.Roses truly are the Queen of all flowers

Formulation changed???

Something has changed in the formula of Rose Cream. It's more lemony, less rose and chalky feeling. I don't like it. I have been using Hauschka for over thirty years and have been disappointed in the changes. Leave the basic products alone please.

Uplifetd more than my complexion

I had seen this product recommended by big Hollywood stars, as well as displayed at our Health food store, After my Accident leading to open heart surgery at my young age I was seeking a gentle yet uplifting product to boost my complexion and also be gentle to my bare skin. The results were instantaneous and noticeable by everyone! Although I was recovering from trauma everyone stared at my glowing complexion and told me how great I looked! the cream went on cool and easily leaving a dewy yet not greasy glow. I love iot and would highly recommend it.

Winter must-have!

I think my skin would be lost without this soothing, softening, deeply moisturizing cream because my skin is so very dry naturally since I live in an area where the municipal water supply is inundated with chlorine and other chemicals which strip my skin of its natural moisturizing capacity. I use this at night even though its meant mainly for day use, though less than I use during the day, because it just works so well and I don't wake up with very dry skin if I put this on at night as well (since my skin has lost it ability to make moisture on its own due to age and chemical environment).

Works!

I used to get dry patches on my chin in the dry Chicago winters, not any more since I started using this. I still use my regular day cream & put a little of this on top right after, works wonders & my skin is soft & not dry at all. Love it!!

Excellent for winter!

The Rose Day Cream is my go-to for colder weather. As someone with sensitive skin, it's difficult to find a deeply moisturizing cream that doesn't irritate or feel too heavy - though it is thick. The fragrance is divine but not overwhelming (like some other brands).

This rose cream is by far the b product I have found for my skin ever. As our skin ages we develop new needs. I am 51 and I have been lost for several years going from product to product. I discovered this cream while staying with a friend. The moment I put it on I felt and saw the difference. And with regular daily use fine lines and dark areas soften. My skin feels and looks radiant. It literally glows healthy like it once did. The rich formula protects and soothes my skin. This cream is very rich and should be used sparingly. I pat in on gently allowing it to soak in slowly rather than rubbing it in. You will see visible changes quite rapidly. I have been absolutely amazed. I can't say enough good things about this product. I am hooked!

Too thick for my liking

I was looking for a rich cream for the dryness I get, but the consistency of this cream doesn't absorb well. I takes a good amount of rubbing (not good for your face) to get the creamy white away and then the oil sits on the surface. Not my recommendation, I wish I could return it.

The b day cream yet!

I discovered your Rose Day Cream by an "almost" empty tube my daughter left behind on one of her visits. Upon use, I realized that it was gently tightening my skin. That's worth it's weight in gold!

Awesome for dry, sensitive skin

My skin is normally dry and sensitive. Also, I live in Maine where the winters are very harsh on the skin. I've tried a lot of products over the years (even moisturizers over $100), but this is the only product that I've used that provides great moisturizing without making me break out. My skin is very dewy looking when I first apply, but it soaks in a lot more within 10 min or so. You only need a very small amount too, so I use sparingly. (Note: I also like to layer it with a tiny bit of organic jojoba oil first.)

I have very dry skin and live in a sometimes bitter, northern climate. This product provides a wonderful barrier in conjunction with my foundation and sun block to winter winds and freezing temperatures that would otherwise freeze-dry and severely damage my skin.In the summer it provides a great base for my eye make-up.

I learned of Rose Day Cream during a facial I received at a spa at the Four Seasons Hotel. I have ageing, dry, and sensitive skin. It works beautifully, treating all my skin issues. My husband likes the scent also!

Best cream ever

I have vary dry sensitif skin. I used almost all creams. Fhirst they help after old same dry sensitive skin. This cream is really amazing it's make my skin softer and help for dryness. I know it is new that I start to using I need time to see the resul but my first experience it's awesome thanks

A great cream for sensitive skin in colder weather

I do love the Rose Day Cream although I find it is best for my skin to use in the colder winter months or on problem areas on the face and hands.

I may have reviewed this before, but I hadn't been using it regularly for some time, had mostly been using Melissa Day cream which I like -- but then I received a travel size of the rose day cream and started using it again daily... I had forgotten how good this day cream is! It is the cream of the crop cream - it really is nourishing & soothing and my skin responds to it fantastically. I think for a time I thought of it mostly as a heavy-duty cream for, say, winter, but I am loving it currently and my face is showing that love! :

Very thick and nurturing!

Compared to other Dr. Hauschka day creams, this cream is the thick. I love how nurturing it is on my skin. It leaves my skin smooth with no irritation or redness afterwards. My only complaint would be the initial application of this cream is hard because of how thick it is.

I first started using Dr Hauschka products when I was about 17. I was unable to purchase them while my kids were growing up, but have returned to using them when I can. They are so gentle. I have always had sensitive skin, and have always loved all the products I have tried in this line.
