Daily Necessity

I keep a tube of this cleanser in my shower, gym bag and travel bag so I can have it everywhere. It smells lovely, gently exfoliates, and leaves my sensitive skin feeling fresh and so smooth without becoming irritated - a very difficult thing for me to find. Love it!

I have used Dr Hauschka cleansing cream for many years now. Along the way I have at times tried to switch to other natural type brands which are less expensive. I always regret these attempts at thrift because the other cleansing creams always feel and smell wrong. I have decided that if I can afford only one Dr Haushka face care product, it will be the cleansing cream.

This is my go-to cleanser. I apply it while in the shower and leave it on until I am ready to rinse it off. The aroma is what draws me to this product and I love how it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft.

Best Face Wash Ever!!

I have tried many different washes and scrubs and this is the only one that does it all for my skin. My skin is combination, has some acne once in a while, is uneven in tone, and large pores. iTs also a little sensitive. This wash gently cleanses and exfoliates while leaving my skin smooth, soft, even in tone and great texture, less breakouts, and the difference I saw was immediate. Since then I buy this to wash my face and nothing else. I have tried a few other products including the toner, and they ALL are amazing!

Dramatic Improvement

I have struggled with adult (hormonal) acne for nearly 20 years. For the past several years I have also been dealing with quite dry skin. It's a challenging combination! This is one of the key products that has helped my skin on the way to recovery. I have been using this product for nearly a year now. It leaves skin feeling absolutely divine! It is clean and does not feel tight/dry, nor does it feel greasy. It is clean, smooth, and hydrated. I use cleansing cream in the morning, careful to apply as described in the directions (press & roll). In the evening I use this after the soothing cleansing milk (to remove makeup and sunscreen). This is one product I do not want to run out of! A 1.7oz tube lasts me 5 weeks using twice a day. I highly recommend this product.

Dr Hauschka's cleansing cream is a staple in my skin care repertroire. I appreciate the grainy texture of it - contributed by the almond - which exfoliates. It only takes a small amount of cleansing cream to cleanse and refresh, and the scent is heavenly.

Go-To Face Cleanser

This cleanser is one of my favorites. I love the ability to exfoliate and moisturize. It’s *one* of my favorites because I prefer to use it in the shower, where it’s easier to rinse off the little scrubby bits.

Thorough yet gentle

This is the first month of my using the cleansing cream and I find it to be very calming and removes all dirt and makeup (I only wear mascara). I follow with a regenerating serum (this month at least) and my skin has never looked more serene the next morning. Highly recommend!

A bit of exfoliation

This cream was too harsh and too drying for my skin. I’m sure it exfoliates well, but I will use milky cleansers from here on out. Too harsh.

Too thick, does not cleanse

This was not what I expected for a "cream" cleanser. It is very thick and does not spread, it says not to rub or scrub but it is so sticky I don't know how else to apply it onto my face. Even when I pat my face with it what remains are large chunks of the product. There is no creaminess to it. Maybe I received a bad tube? Disappointed.

I haven't used this cleanser until two weeks ago, and it's already becoming a favorite part of my daily routine. The texture seemed weird to me at first, like a scrub, but if you follow the directions for application it works beautifully! And I LOVE the smell! I have been using the cleansing cream and cleansing milk daily for several years. I'm 66 and my skin looks great. I can't imagine using anything else.

Disappointed

I love the cleansing milk, so I was hoping this would be a nice exfoliating, compliment to that. It does not smell very nice and I felt like I needed to use a lot to cover my face. The almond meal is very soft. While I know you should not use anything too abrasive on your face, I didn't feel that this did much of anything. After using it, I needed to re-wash my face after. Bummer!

I'm finally reunited!!

I LOVE, LOVE this cleansing creme. I used it for years a while back and my skin glowed all the time. I had to stop because of price for a bit, I tried several others, I tried making my own natural face wash, and just was getting by. I was able to buy it again during a super-sale, and have been using for two weeks. I really notice a difference, and multiple people have also commented on how "nice" my face looks. It smells and feels amazing. If you can afford it, you really should never look anywhere else. This really is the best! I have "maturing" skin, but no wrinkles yet, and this does make everything feel smoother and my pores are noticeably smaller. I also do not wear any makeup at all and only moisturize with jojoba oil.

Amazing cleanser often used improperly

This cleanser works so well but I hate to see so many people use it incorrectly. PLEASE refer to the “press and roll method” on this site and you will find you come away with very clean, gently exfoliated skin. I soak a washcloth in Lavender Bath and steam my face first, then rinse with the Lavender water left over. I remove my sunscreen/makeup first in the evening w/the Cleansing Milk.

A bit thicker and "chunkier" of a wash than I was expecting, but I actually prefer it to the milk cleanser. The gentle exfoliating is really perfect for dead skin patches while cleansing and balancing out the oily spots on my face. An essential product in the Dr. Hauschka skin care routine.

Takes getting used to, it won me over

Initially I didn’t like the scrub and sticky feeling to it but kept using it and became a convert. Nice scent and works well on my skin. I never took to the suggested application technique - rolling it on. Just warm it in your hands and apply gently. Be careful rinsing it off, it takes a bit of diligence to get it all - a washcloth with gentle motion is better than splashing water on to remove it.

A tiny amount of this pleasant in texture and scent cleansing cream enlivens the complection and gives it a glow of freshness. While cleansing, the almond meal as the core ingredient feels most agreeable to the skin. The Dr Hauschka cream makers certainly know what the skin naturally requires.

Really love this brand

I would say that I have pretty sensitive skin; I'm sensitive to synthetic fragrances and harsh ingredients, so even though I have somewhat acne-prone skin, salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide are absolute no-gos for me. Over the years, I've found that natural products make such a difference in my skin and this brand is no exception. You can tell this product is really made from all natural ingredients that are processed as little as possible. The cleansing cream smells like almonds because it's made from almond meal and you can feel the softened bits of almond in it. I don't really care for the smell, only because I hate nuts in general. Even so, I can definitely tolerate the smell. It's very gentle yet effective. It makes my skin feel very soft and absolutely does not overdry. I can't comment on its ability to remove makeup because I just don't wear it. I wear mascara, but I always take it off individually no matter what cleanser I use. I love that they carry travel sizes. If you're on the fence about trying this brand and don't want to be stuck with full-size products in case you don't like them (I bet you'll love them), I'd try the travel sizes!

Enjoying the cleansing cream

Took me a little while to get used to forgoing the squeaky clean feeling of other harsher cleansers BUT my skin now, with this product, is much less dried out and hence the wrinkle lines are much less pronounced and I like my skin better. This cleansing cream gives me a feeling of going to a professional spa. I love the texture of this cream, although it is not a scrub, I can feel the difference of my skin after using it. The travel size of this will only last about a week (if you use it morning/night) so just be aware of that if you do end up liking this cream.

Nice texture but too dark colored

Slight grittiness of the cream helps the cleansing. But I have very fair skin so the dark color is disconcerting.

I use it in the morning and in the evening and the skin on my cheeks (where is usually dry) has improved considerably. Pressing it into the skin and not using circular motion for the application works magic for me.

I expected this to be more cream-like, but it is definitely more exfoliating-scrub like. I keep it in the shower, and wash my face with it only when in there. It feels fresh and clean afterwards, and smells like pears!

I don’t feel I’m stripping my skin of its health when using this cleansing cream. Just a little amount and a few drops of water....goes far. Gentle loofah sensation and leaves my skin feeling softer than before I washed. A tube lasts quite a while.

Unusual but lovely!

Many will find the consistency of this product unusual, but it is indeed lovely! I have very dry skin, so I do prefer the cleansing lotion, but this is a top notch product.

A different kind of clean

I got a sample of this from Whole Foods to try out and I have to say unlike most cleansers I've tried, this one doesn't dry out or over hydrate my skin. It also doesn't irritate my skin or make it feel itchy afterward drying which is really nice. Definitely going to purchase this.

I use this cream in shower or bath with a little bit of water, it makes the skin super smooth but doesn't make it too dry or irritated at all. I don't normally use any facial scrubs on my face but this cream does act as a mild exfoliator without irritation, could recommend to anyone !

This is a gentle exfoliator that does not irratate my sensitive fair skin. It is particularly helpful in the winter when I am also battling the dry cold weather. I find that once a day or every other day after the cleansing lotion is more than enough.

It was ok ...

I think this cleansing cream is good but just not good for my skin. I didn't really like how it felt afterwards... Felt really oily and not clean. I will continue to use it to see how it works as my skin gets used to it.

The Best!

Honestly, I can say that this is the best face cleanser I have ever used! It is very gentle and totally cleansing. A 1.7 oz. tube lasts me a few months because you don't need much. My skin looks 3 times better! Truly a miracle worker! I hope to use this the rest of my life.

Perfect Level of Exfoliation with Maximum Hydration

I love that this cream exfoliates gently while deeply conditioning the skin at the same time. I love that there is no overwhelming scent either. This product doesn't irritate my sensitive skin in any way, which is quite rare for an exfoliant. Also works beautifully as a gentle lip exfoliant in the winter when e leaves my lips a little windburnt and chapped. I use this twice a week, Wednesdays and Sundays (the other days I use the Cleansing Cream). After cleansing, I follow with a spritz of toner finish with Rose Day Cream. My skin has never looked better. Even my husband comments on how smooth my skin is and how great the scent is.

My skin feels clean but not stripped or dry...hydrated almost but without a residue left behind after rinsing. I was a little skeptical at first because of this but continued to use and glad I did. Have been using for a solid 3 months now and my skin feels and looks more full-youthful!

This is a KEEPER!

One key to a good regime is cleansing. Not stripping away all the oils is important to me. A pea-sized spot of this cream on both cheeks will not lather - instead, one feels the almond meal and that wholesome scent of calendula. This is pleasing and perfect.

I began using Dr. Hauschka over 20 years ago to address my oily, blemish-prone skin. I was initially concerned because I had been accustomed to cleansers that stripped my face of all oils; leaving them “squeaky clean”. Cleansing cream

I find this product to be quite useful and pleasant to use. I have never tried the key to roll the tubes but am hoping it will help get everything out of tube so that none will be wasted!

Not just for the face

This product cleanses and moisturizes so well that I use it not only as a facial cleanser, but also as a cleanser for my hands. I also use it to cleanse my lower legs during the dry winter months. Since a little goes a long way, it is a cost-effective addition to my moisturizing regimen.

There's a reason this is a cult favorite...

I refer to this as a high-end all-natural gentle version of Apricot Scrub. It's got little scrubbing beads, but they're so fine that it feels like a tingly massage rather than a harsh sloughing of the skin. I use this after removing makeup with the Soothing Cleansing Milk, and it leaves my skin feeling pristine. And if I ever have a small pimple, I'll massage this a little longer than usual to the affected area; it gently removes any excess grime and skin cells that may be causing the congestion.Bottom line is this works for everyone. Gentle exfoliation can improve the appearance of any skin type. This gets the job done but is gentle enough to use everyday. LOVE IT!

I have been using this cleanser for thirty years and love it. It is gentle but removes makeup. It gives my skin a glow.

Cleansing cream

This is a great cleanser. It exfoliates and does not dry my skin out. I feel like the cream is still working after I have rinsed it off. I have sensitive skin and it makes my cheeks red so I won't be getting it again. I will need to try a different one.

A deep cleanser that will never leave you dry

This cleanser does everything it describes! My skin is healthier and balanced in areas I didn't even know I was lagging in until after I started using this!

Very gentle

I would recommend this with the caveat that if you have particularly greasy skin or skin that really needs exfoliation you will need to do something additional to get the job done. I use a chemical pH based mask a couple times a week. This is very soothing and leaves my skin soft and even but if I try to only use this I get build up and break outs. So consider it a wonderful addition to moisturize and cleanse but not a stand alone exfoliator.

Clean and simple

Before Dr H I would only wash my face once a day. Now, I follow the Dr H recommended cleansing process twice a day and this cleansing cream is a must for my morning routine. It leaves my face feeling soft and moisturized. My skin has a tendency to be red, and with this cleanser and a day cream (along with proper application technique), my redness has really subsided.

All-time favorite

It can be challenging to find a face cleanser and exfoliator in one with high-quality all-natural ingredients, so the fact that this cleanser does both is great! Have been using for over 20 years and always get compliments on my skin when I use it regularly and thoughtfully. It's the only trusted product I use to wash/exfoliate my face.

35 years later...

I love the Hauschka Cleansing Cream and have been using it since I was in my early 20's. It is the only product that leaves my skin supple, refreshed, and glowing. It has worked for me and my sking for all of my stages in my life. Hauschka is truly liquid gold.

Great but...

This cleansing cream smells interesting and it is not easy to use... you have to massage it on your face and my arms get tired quickly... other than that it cleans well and leave the skin nourished.

I don't know how Dr. Hauschka makes it, but this product is magical. Not scrub, not foam. After using my skin looks so fresh and clean. Love it and defenetly buy again.

The Cleansing Cream is perfect for sensitive skin that is also mature. It is great for the morning routine, wakes up the skin, hydrates, and gently slough off dead skin. It is also wonderful for the evening ritual after using the Soothing Cleanser to take makeup off as it allows for more moisturizing oils to remain on the skin, working perfectly with the toner and a light serum.

I started using the cleansing cream in my 30s and now i'm in my 50s. This product is so wonderful and i always miss it if i run out. i have sensitive skin that can react negatively to herbal/organic products. Have never had a problem with this.

The Best for dry skin

I have very dry, sensitive skin. I have had dry skin between my eyebrows for over a year which I have tried EVERYTHING on and nothing has worked... until this cleansing cream! Not only, after only 1 1/2 wks., the dry skin went away, but my skin all over is smooth and not as dry and sensitive. I use the milk cleanser first, which is good, however, the cleansing cream after was what I was missing. This is a great product and a very good value.

Best Cleansing Cream Ever

This cleansing cream is so gentle but effective! You don't feel any irritation even when it gets into the eyes. It takes away all the dirt and leaves skin clean and hydrated!

Not One Break out!

I have had sensitive skin all my life, if anything touches it I get a pimple. I have not had 1 pimple or blemish since I started using this cleanser. I literally am in love with everything, the toner, the rose day cream, and the night serum. WORTH EVERY PENNY people.

This cleansing cream leaves my skin and hands oily. I have a feeling, my face is not cleansed properly. I think, it is because my skin is combination.

Unexpected

Used this cleansing step with the smoothing milk and toner. Best advice is to use this with the complete skin care regime. I expected this to be too drying for my skin but my skin was very smooth after washing off. Unexpected treat for my skin. Smells a little funny but not so bad that you can't tolerate it.

clean with a a clear conscious

Have been using this since getting pregnant with my first child and quitting all harsh and chemically skincare (e.g. retain A, etc). This cleanser keeps my face clean without drying and haven't had any breakouts!

Love it!

I've been using this product every morning for almost a year now, and I have nothing but good things to say. I break out very easily, but this product has helped a ton! My skin feels squeaky clean and really soft after I use it. I only use it once a day since my skin is really sensitive and I use the Soothing Cleansing Milk at night. They work very well together. My only complaint would be that the tube goes pretty quickly and I feel like I have to buy it again pretty fast every time.

I never used this product until my age is reaching to 30s. I found it helps removing dirt, pollutants, chemicals and cosmetics left on my face each morning and night. After using it for more than a month, my skin is being revitalized, renewed, brightened, moisturized, softened and nurtured. The skin problems are being eliminated like big pores, dark color, red spots, acne, pimples, black and white heads. I am recommending this product to my family members like sisters and mother. My mother is 60s now, after she used that, she found her skin looked brighter, smoother, softer and the dirt on her faces were completely removed by its gentle special tiny scrubs. Gentle yet deep

If I go a period of time without using this cleanser I can noticeably see that my pores eventually get clogged up with dead skin and moisturizers do not absorb as well, and overall my skin is much more dry without this cleanser. I love how Dr. Hauschka cleansing cream is so gentle yet cleans so thoroughly and deeply. I use the Dr.H facial sponge to remove it and with that combination just enough daily exfoliation has occurred that toners, serums, and creams then penetrate more deeply into my skin to rejuvenate it.

I wouldn't go a day without my cleansing cream! As my skin is sensitive, I usually add a small amount of cleansing milk to the cream. It leaves my face fresh but not dry and irritated.

Nice anti-scrub.

It took me a while to get used to this product. It is so different than the traditional scrubs on the market. I use it in the mornings. Rinse thoroughly for best results. My face Glows!

Not a fan

I'm not a fan of this cleanser. It left a greasy film on my face that didn't make my face feel clean.

Just a little bit

I use a lot less than it says, and I don't use it every day anymore now that I'm older, but if I spend too much time away, my face really misses it, and I feel the difference.

Great quality product

I was very excited to receive my trial of this cream, after many attempts at finding a gentle cleanser that was also able to clean my face had failed, I was desperate to find something that worked. This cleanser I can tell is great quality. It smells wonderful and does leave my skin unirritated and smooth. However, the application process is a bit lengthy (I'm used to rubbing something on and rinsing it off quickly); this, on the other hand, is about a 10 minute process to add to your morning routine. It does soften my skin and leaves it clean; however, I do still get break outs (but they are much less and far fewer than before). Overall, I really like this product and will continue to buy, but just fair warning, it isn't perfect.
